Drive stakes between the cells of a dark moor until no shade can reach a lantern. You get exactly as many stakes as the hold needs, and not one more.
Lanterns, shades and a bundle of stakes
Each level is a 5×6 moor. Lanterns burn on some cells, shades wait on others, and a shade can drift to any cell it can reach by walking up, down, left or right. Your only tool is a bundle of wooden stakes. Drive one between two cells and nothing can cross that boundary again. The stone rim of the moor already blocks, and fallen rocks seal a few boundaries for free.

The ground tells you where you stand. Wherever a shade can still reach a lantern, the cells glow red and the lantern burns red. Cut that ground apart and the lantern's side turns gold.
Find the cheapest hold
The bundle is tight: every moor gives exactly the fewest stakes that can keep every shade away, and only one way to spend them works. Lean on the rim and the rocks, because every boundary they already close is a stake you keep. Lanterns do not have to share one hold, so sometimes the cheapest answer walls a single lantern into its own corner.

A wrong stake is never final. Tap it again to pull it up, or undo. Five moors grow from five stakes to nine, with more shades crowding the ground.
