Today's puzzle
Today's Darkwaar is Signal Leap.
A frog carries one lamp across a dark swamp. Lily pads are the only places to land. The beam shows a hidden pad, and it wakes the next relay.
How to play
The swamp is a small grid of water. Eight boards. Each one ends when the beam reaches the ring.
- The lamp points up, right, down, or left, and reaches three cells
- A reed stops the beam. The reed is a stand of leaves with a bar across it
- Turn left or right. The frog stays on its pad
- Tap a ringed pad to hop. A hop reaches one or two cells, including a diagonal
- A dashed pad is hidden until the beam touches it. Only then can the frog land there
- A relay is a diamond. It stays hollow until the beam reaches it, then it fills and sends the light on in its own direction
- The receiver is a ring on a post. The level is done when any beam covers it
- Undo steps back. Restart begins the level again. Mute turns the clicks off
- Next appears when the ring lights
Tap Left or Right to turn the lamp, then tap a ringed pad to hop.
The wildcards
- Flashlight: the lamp is aimed, and a reed blocks it
- Double duty: the same beam reveals a pad and carries the signal
- Feeling froggy: the frog hops from pad to pad
There are no mirrors. The relay repeats the beam. It does not bounce it.

The core
The first board only asks for a hop. The lamp is already aimed, and it does not reach the ring until the frog is closer.
Later boards hide the next pad behind a relay, and a reed cuts the straight line. You light the pad, hop, then aim again. The last board needs both: the first relay reveals the pad, and the hop from that pad wakes the relay that reaches the ring.
