The pool starts empty. Tap a cell and it evolves with its four neighbours, from spore to bloom to crest. Grow the exact pattern of life shown in the goal.
An empty pool
Every pool begins with nothing in it. Tap a cell and life stirs: that cell and the four cells beside it each evolve one stage. Nothing becomes a spore, a spore becomes a bloom, and a bloom becomes a crest.

Evolution does not stop at the crest. A crest that evolves again fades back to nothing, so a careless tap can undo a cell you had already finished.
Match the goal
The goal pattern sits in the top corner, and each cell also shows its target as a small marker. A cell gets a green border when it matches. Each pool allows a fixed number of generations, and only a careful order grows every cell to exactly the right stage.

Five pools grow from three by three to four by four. The first gives you a spare generation to learn how growth spreads. After that, every tap counts.
Controls
