Darkwaar is an experiment in creating and publishing small playable ideas regularly. The 36th game, Latticewake, is a deterministic spatial puzzle built around one move: rotating four tiles at once.
Turn the lattice
Each chamber is a compact isometric board crossed by gold joints. Tap or click a joint and its four surrounding tiles rotate clockwise. The living gold light moves with its tile—but so do the red wards guarding the ruin.
Every moved ward also turns clockwise before firing. Its next beam is therefore a consequence of the same move that changes the route. Position and danger are one system: a useful rotation can carry the light toward a cyan seal, turn a beam away, or create a new hazard for the following turn.

Four deterministic chambers
Wake every cyan seal, then carry the light through the white gate before the turn limit. The four handcrafted chambers introduce the rules in small steps:
- A first rotation teaches how the light travels with the floor
- Overlapping joints make one tile part of several possible moves
- Red wards add visible, deterministic beam hazards
- Multiple wards turn a single rotation into a compact tactical forecast
There is no randomness and no hidden enemy phase. Each action has a predictable result. Unlimited Undo makes experimentation immediate, while Hint offers the next step on the intended route when needed. Help restates the rules and Reset restarts the current chamber.

Play Latticewake
Latticewake takes about 5–8 minutes and runs directly in the browser. Turn the floor, read the wards, and wake the ruin.
