Darkwaar is an experiment in creating and publishing small playable ideas regularly. The 38th game, Forkwake, is a short machine of forks: you choose the corridor, and the structure decides the destination.
Many paths
You guide a small runner through glowing doors. At each fork you tap left or right. One side sparks and stuns. The other pulls you along a conveyor. Both feel different under the finger.
Wait too long at a fork and the machine picks its preferred door for you. Refusing to choose is still a choice the system can read.

One gate
Sanctioned routes widen, then narrow. Left and right meet again at merge nodes. The cyan Gate at the bottom accepts every path the machine allows.
Clearing the Gate is a real arrival. It is also the sanctioned exit: the board remembers your routes as ghost trails, and the status line admits that the hatch is unlocked.

Offline
On a later run, when you reach the second fork with the hatch unlocked, an amber Offline control appears. Taking it leaves the funnel.
That is the difference the game is built around: local decisions that change the journey, and a global structure that held the destination—until you step off the rails.

Play Forkwake
Tap glowing doors. Read the merges. When the ghosts appear, look for Offline.
